FCC-ee High-Temperature-Superconducting Short Straight Section (FCCee HTS4)
The project shall study, up to the test of a 1-m-long prototype module, the possibility of replacing the normal-conducting short straight sections (SSS) of the FCC-ee main storage ring with superconducting ones. The use of high temperature superconductor (HTS, ReBCO tape) shall make the SSS more compact and uniform in length and operate with significant savings in power consumption.
