Superconducting Accelerator Magnet R&D at PSI (MagDev)
This project outlines a two-year activity of superconducting-accelerator magnet R&D at PSI, which shall provide the basis for the design and construction of a high-field demonstrator magnet in a second stage of the program. The activity will include the necessary enabling-technology R&D, the completion of the laboratory and test infrastructure, the development of a Nb3Sn canted cosine theta magnet as hardware deliverable, and an HTS technology-coil program, which introduces HTS technology to PSI.
