A two-year programme of superconducting accelerator magnet R&D at PSI, providing the basis for the design and construction of a high-field demonstrator magnet in a second stage. It covers the enabling-technology R&D, completes the laboratory and test infrastructure, develops a Nb3Sn canted cosine-theta magnet as its hardware deliverable, and runs an HTS technology-coil programme that introduces HTS technology to PSI.
